Alphabet-“G”
1.	Garnishee	:		A debtor in whose hands a debt has been attached i.e. he is warned not to pay his debt to anyone other than the third party who has obtained judgment against the debtor’s own creditor.
2.	Garnishee Proceeding	:		The proceeding which gives govt. the right to attach (i.e. forcibly take over ) any asset from a person who is defaulter.
3.	Gift	:		A gratuitous grant or transfer of property.
4.	Grant	:		Sanction, transfer of ownership of property.
5.	Guarantee	:		The person to whom the guarantee is given.
6.	Guilty	:		Confession by an accused charged with a crime.
Alphabet-“H”
1.	Harassment	:		To annoy and trouble continually.
2.	Hazardous	:		Dangerous.
3.	Hearsay Evidence	:		What someone else has been heard to say.
4.	Hereditary	:		Received from one generation to another generation.

1.	Illegal	:		Against Law, Unlawful
2.	Illegitimate	:		Born of parents not married with each other.
3.	Impeachment	:		An allegation of a great public offence.
4.	Implicate	:		To involve in a crime or offence.
5.	Imputing	:		An allegation of wrongdoing.
6.	Incidental	:		Liable in connection with something.
7.	Inclusive	:		Including Everything.
8.	Incumbrance (Encumbrance)	:		Change or burden upon property, liability, claim, easement, or lien attached to property.
9.	Indecent	:		Offending against recognized standard of decency.
10.	Inducement	:		An Incentive.
11.	Infer	:		To reach an opinion from facts or reasoning.
12.	Inflammable	:		Able to be set on fire.
13.	Infringement	:		Interference with or, the violation of, the right of another.
14.	Inherent Power	:		An existing right or power.
15.	Inheritance	:		A thing that is inherited
16.	Injunction	:		An order or decree by which a party to a dispute or an action is required to do, or refrain from doing, a particular thing. Injunctions are either restrictive (preventive) or mandatory (compulsory). As regards time, Injunctions are either interlocutory (Interim) or perpetual.
17.	Injury	:		The violation of the right of the another, hurt or harm.
18.	Injustice	:		Lack of injustice
19.	Interim	:		An Intervening Period.
20.	Intestate	:		Not making valid Will before death.
21.	Intimidation	:		Frightening with threat or force.
22.	Invalid	:		Bad in Law, not valid.
23.	Investigation	:		Inquiry or the study of thing to discover facts.
24.	Issue	:		A point for discussion.

1.	Judge, Justice	:		A person who is appointed to hear and try cases in Court.
2.	Judgment	:		The decision or sentence of court in a legal proceeding, verdict or pronouncement of court.
3.	Judicial	:		Of administration of justice or of courts.
4.	Jurisprudence	:		The law of law; the science of law; the philosophy of law.
5.	Jurist	:		Well conversant with law, a distinguished legal personality.
6.	Juvenile	:		A young person below the age of seventeen.
Alphabet-“K”
1.	Kidnapping	:		Carrying away the person of the age of below the age of 18 by force or fraud.
Alphabet-“L”
1.	Landlord	:		A person who lets a house or land.
2.	Larceny	:		Theft. A person who steals without the consent of the owner fraudulently takes and carries away anything capable of being stolen in order to deprive the owner thereof permanently.
3.	Lawful	:		Recognized by Law, Legal.
4.	Lease	:		To permit the use of property by way of Lease.
5.	Legacy	:		Something handed down by the predecessor, gift of personal property by will.
6.	Legal aid	:		To provide financial help to a person who is unable to bear legal expenses.
7.	Legitimate	:		Born of legally married parents.
8.	Liable	:		Held responsible by law.
9.	Libel	:		Publish false information that damages a person’s reputation.
10.	License	:		Permission from competent authority to do something.
11.	Licensee	:		The holder of the License. The Licensee is the party at one part who receives the License.
12.	Licensor	:		The Licensor is the party t another part that grant License to the party of the one Part.
13.	Leave and License	:		Leave and License Agreement is an instrument/ agreement wherein the licensor allows the licensee to temporarily occupy and use one portion of his immovable property for carrying on his business for residential purposes.  The Licensor grants the leave and license to the licensee for a minimum period of 11 months and for this, the licensee shall pay to the licensor a fixed amount of license fee/ rent money. This agreement has to be mandatorily registered before the sub-registrar of assurances at the place of jurisdiction where the party is located.
14.	Lis Pendens	:		A pending suit.
15.	Locus Standi	:		Directly involved in relation or deal.
16.	Lunatic	:		An insane person.
Alphabet-“M”
1.	Maintenance	:		Provision of the means to save life.
2.	Malicious	:		Ill-will or evil motive, a felony.
3.	Mandatory	:		It is related to injunction. An order of injunction may be mandatory i.e. it is compulsory or obligatory.
4.	Marital	:		Of concerning or relating to marriage.
5.	Matrimonial	:		Anything pertaining to marriage or relating to marriage.
6.	Maxim	:		A general truth.
7.	Mental	:		Of the mind
8.	Minor	:		A person under full age.
9.	Misappropriation	:		To take dishonestly.
10.	Miscarriage	:		A failure of Justice
11.	Moral	:		Concerned with the goodness or badness of human character.
12.	Mortgage	:		A Claim on property as security for payment of debt or loan.
13.	Movable	:		A property which can be moved from one place to another.
14.	Mens Rea	:		Guilty Mind
15.	Mesne Profit	:		Profit earned by somebody by wrongful possession of property.
16.	Modus Operandi	:		Mode of Operation/ Manner of Working.
